Police arrests drug peddler in Anantnag | KNO

Srinagar, January 24 (KNO) : Anantnag police arrested a drug peddler with contraband substance. Police party from Police Post Sangam stopped one Eicher Truck bearing registration No PB32KT/4798 at Marhama crossing NHW. During checking one bag containing Fukki contraband weighing about 22 kilograms was recovered from the said Eicher truck. During initial questioning the said driver of Eicher truck disclosed his name as Mohammad Saleem son of Abdul Satar resident of Malar Kotla District Sangrur Punjab. In this regard a case FIR No 17/2018 under section 8/15 NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Bijbehara. The said driver was arrested, vehicle seized and investigation was taken up.(KNO)
